Biography

Yotam Ben Horin is best known as the singer/bass player and main songwriter of the punk band Useless ID (Fat Wreck Chords). In 2015, Yotam decided to drop everything to find a home on the road. He has been constantly traveling and experiencing life differently ever since. The constant motion pushed Yotam’s songwriting ability to new limits and resulted in four solo albums: Distant Lover, California Sounds, One Week Record (which was produced by Joey Cape), and Young Forever, his newest and most uplifting album, which is out now on Double Helix Records.

He definitely doesn’t just sound like a punk singer playing an acoustic guitar on the new single/title track, a dose of jangly, ’90s-style power pop that features a guitar solo from Jimmy Eat World frontman Jim Adkins.
Brooklyn Vegan

Sometimes through big horns and a band, or with a simple guitar and that characteristic melodic voice, the Useless ID singer takes the listener on a rollercoaster of sentiment and memory, showing that we all have our ups and downs and it’s more than ok to talk about it.
New Noise Magazine

A groundbreaking career that has convincingly established Useless ID as Israel’s most successful punk band and arguably the Middle Eastern country’s most internationally successful act ever.
